We shall be using Anonymous Points (AP). Raids are any 25man content.
Before a player can get an item from us, they need to define their Primary role from the following four: Physical DPS, Caster DPS, Healing, Tank. Hunters and rogues are physical dps. Warlocks and mages are caster dps. Other classes will determine their role by selecting one of these four options. We will define all people in a role as a "Primary" and anyone else a "Secondary". All players start at 0 AP. If you decide to change your role or class, you can do so at any time that is not during a raid with the approval of the council, and your new AP is either 0 or your current points whichever is lower.
Players gain AP by attending raids of new content and old content and showing up on time and ready to raid. Players only gain AP when they are a raider member or trial member of the guild. AP rewards may be adjusted ad hoc as necessary. All content will be rewarded based off time spent in the instance, and will depend on the content. Therefore, boss kills themselves do not award AP but rather, time spent raiding earns AP.
When items drop, the Loot Moderator for the raid posts the item and announces to the raid he is taking bids on it, and for the next 30 seconds takes bids for the item in tells only. The loot moderator may or may not announce the cost of an item, mostly depending on time available. Ultimately the responsibility of knowing the proper cost of the item is given to the bidders. Anyone can bid, and a bid is a player making a request for the item. This should be done by linking the item back to the Mod, so there is no confusion. Then the Mod compares the AP of all of the Primaries that want the item. Trial members are always treated as having lower AP than Raider members, but AP is compared between Trials in the same way as it would be between raiders. The person with the most AP wins the item, it’s announced, and the AP amount is deducted from that person's AP. If no Primaries want it, then any Secondaries can get the item at 1/4 the cost, decided in the same manner. Therefore, trial Primaries can win loot over raider secondaries. Ties will be rolled off out of 1000. Negative Points are allowed.
For Set tokens and similar multi-class/role items, a player will be assumed to be taking the item for their Primary role. However, they can specify in the bid if they want it for their secondary role. If they do, they must then take the item for that particular role. Failure to do so will result in, at minimum, a charge of 2x for the item.
Items will also be sold as PVP after all other considerations. If you bid on an item for pvp then you are saying that it is not an item you envision using in raids or it is an item with resilience rating. PVP items ignore spec, and the priority of PVP items is first determined by raider vs. trial and then by total number of points. Items bought for PVP are not to be used in a raid, they are for PVP or your personal enjoyment. These items and gladiator items purchased in this manner will be sold at 1/4 cost. Offspec and PVP do not stack, thus no items will be sold for 1/16. If you are seen using an item you bought for PVP while in a raid, then you may be charged more than the normal cost of the item. If you think there is the possibility that you will use the item in a raid, then do yourself a favor and buy the item in the normal manner. For instance, if you want an item to have more stamina for certain raid fights, then suck it up and bid on it as a normal item. Bidders should indicate as usual if they are bidding as normal, for offspec, or for PVP. The exception to the above is "adjective" gladiator type gear. This gear may be bought as PVP at 25% cost and used freely in raids, but should not become a mainstay piece of gear for any raider.
At the end of each raid week (Monday Night/Tuesday Morning) 15% will be removed from everyone's point totals. This may be adjusted in the future.
AP Cost will be based on the following basic formulas, and depends on where the item can be used. (IV = Item Value) IV is 100 for items with an item level of 200. For each increase in 13 item levels, multiply by 4/3rds to determine the new item value. For example, the IV of items with 213 item level is 133.33 repeating. After the full formula is used, round down to the nearest whole number.
For All Classes: Chest, Legs, and Helm => 1.0 *IV Shoulders, Boots, Belts and Gloves => .8*IV Wrists, Trinkets, Rings, Necklaces, Cloaks => .6*IV
For Melee Classes: 2h Weapons => 2.5*IV 1h Weapons => 1.25*IV Tanking Shields => 1.25*IV Ranged Weapons and Relics => .5*IV Ranged Weapons for Hunters => 2*IV 1h Melee Weapons for Hunters => .5*IV 2h Melee Weapons for Hunters => 1.0*IV
For Caster Classes: 2h Weapons => 2.5*IV 1h Weapons => 2*IV Off-hands (Including Caster Shields) => .5*IV Wands and Relics => .5*IV
Therefore, an IL 200 chest piece would be 100 AP. An IL 213 chest piece would be 133. An IL 226 chest piece would be 177.
Patterns that create BoP's: (Cost of the crafted item)*.75 - raid-based components Patterns that create BoE's: Council has priority. After council, the raid freerolls the item. No AP cost. The costs of raid based components are meant to represent a reasonable cost in materials (in terms of AP) for BoE pattern creations. Legendary items will be treated as if they are an item 13 levels higher than the indicated item level on Wowhead. For priority on weapons, Hunters get priority on all Bows, Crossbows and Guns. All other Melee classes get priority on Melee weapons.
AP rewards will be based on hourly time and will depend on the content being raided. A zone with a median item level of 200 will be worth 10 AP per hour. A zone with median item level of 213 will be worth 14 AP per hour. A 226 zone will be worth 18 AP per hour. Further hour values for later zones will be determined at a future date. On time credit will also increase as medial item level of the zone increases (starting at 8 and increasing by 2). If an hour is split between zones of differing values, then a simple majority will determine its value. Measuring the attendance of that hour will involve a one time assessment of attending members, to be performed at a random time during the hour. Sitting members earn the same amount of AP as those in raid, provided that they can be reached should they be needed in the raid.
If you have a problem with loot or AP, you must alert the moderator in question within one week. Aryona and Faldirk, the current moderators, would prefer a forum pm be used for loot matters.
